Aisha's Song   SH-2012

A filmmaker with a good ear as well as a good eye. A fabulous sounding portrait of a girl who wasn’t lost.

It might have become a sad film about the girl Aisha Sani Abdullahi, who almost went blind as a child and pined away in the streets of Nigeria. But the film is fairly optimistic and above all beautifully shot. Not many filmmakers are making beautiful films in Africa, so this is already quite a change.
