Surface Noise   SH-2012

Convincing symphonic adaptation of damaged film material shows revolutionary themes, including political conflicts, demonstrations and rebellions.

By isolating and processing archive films affected by dirt and scratches, the makers created an interesting symphonic experiment. With the aid of images of political unrest and intense red colours, interesting parallels are drawn between the mechanics of cinema and the patterns of social unrest.
