Tiger Awards Competition 2012

The Tiger Awards Competition intends to give up-and-coming talent the opportunity to shine on a global stage instead of those that have already made a name for themselves.

The prestigious Tiger Awards Competition is the International Film Festival Rotterdam’s centrepiece. Hivos Tiger Award winners not only receive a trophy and €15,000, but they also gain international recognition. Even participating in the competition is a form of recognition. Just the fact that a production has been selected for the competition in Rotterdam guarantees the necessary international attention. In January 2012, some fifteen premieres will compete for one of the three, identical Hivos Tiger Awards.
