Akosua Adoma OWUSU (1984, USA) is a descendant of Ghanaian parents. She was born in Virginia and currently lives and works in Washington, D.C. Owusu is an installation artist and an independent film director. She was educated in film, media and art at the California Institute of the Arts and at the University of Virginia. She is also an alumnus of the Berlinale Talent Campus for the Berlin International Film festival in 2008.
