Ann Hui   

Ann HUI (Xu Anhua) (b. 1947, Manchuria) moved to Hong Kong in her youth. She studied English and comparative literature. After a film study in London, she worked for Hong Kong television stations on several drama series. Since 1979, she has made features. Some of her films have been screened in Rotterdam. A Simple Life (2011) won multiple awards in Venice.
