Ben RUSSELL (1976, USA) makes short films, performances and installations. He prefers to screen his work in unconventional places, like monasteries, police station basements and Japanese cinematheques. His field of interest stretches from anthropology to experimental film. After the many short films he shot in Suriname, he made his first feature length film Let Each One Go Where He May (2009). His new short film River Rites will be screened at the IFFR 2012.
