Gurvinder SINGH (1973, New Delhi, India) worked as a graphic artist in advertising while studying at Delhi University. After that followed a post graduate course in film directing at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune. He closely collaborated with filmmaker Mani Kaul, who also taught at FTII. Before Alms for the Blind Horse, his feature début, Singh made several documentaries.
