In 2006, the Prix UIP Rotterdam Short Film Nominee for the European Film Awards was given to MEANDER by Joke Liberge (Belgium).

The Prix UIP Rotterdam was introduced in 2006. The European Film Academy and UIP present the Prix UIP at fourteen prestigious film festivals across Europe to fiction films of up to 15 minutes in length. Each of the winners receives €2,000 and is automatically nominated for the European Film Awards' short film category.
The jury statement on the winning short film MEANDER by Joke Liberge (Belgium, 2005)
“An idyllic setting is invaded by the awkwardness of young adolescents. As the film progresses the intensity of their youthful anxieties gradually comes to the fore.”
