It is now possible to reach the large and varied festival audience by advertising in one of several publications issued by The International Film Festival Rotterdam.
The 37th International Film Festival Rotterdam will take place from January 23th to February 3rd 2008 During the twelve days of the festival, hundreds of filmmakers will present their work to a large, devoted audience in more than 20 screening venues located within central Rotterdam.
IFFR 2006 sold 358,000 tickets. One third of these highly educated visitors were younger than 30 years of age. More than half the visitors were aged between 17 and 39. 43% live in Rotterdam and the surrounding areas, 52% in the remainder of the Netherlands and 5% abroad. Each year, the festival welcomes 2,500 foreign film professionals and journalists.
Festival magazine This full-colour magazine appears in mid-December and contains up-to-the-minute information on the festival’s themes and films. It is distributed by direct mail, in the VPRO listings magazine and appears nationally in film theatres, cinemas and other cultural venues, as well as hotels, restaurants and bars in the major cities of the Netherlands.
Circulation: 125,000 copies.Daily Tiger Daily festival newspaper (32 pages, A3). Appears ten times during the festival. In addition to daily listings and last-minute programme changes, the Daily Tiger includes interviews, reviews and a host of other practical information. There is also an English-language section, which focuses on film industry news. Full-colour advertisements are possible. The Daily Tiger is available from all festival locations and in Rotterdam restaurants, hotels and cultural venues. It is also available, as a PDF document, for free download during the festival period, from this website.
Circulation: Monday – Friday: 11,000 copies, Saturday & Sunday: 15,000 copies.
Catalogue The complete and essential (English language) guide to all festival films and events. The catalogue is available from selected bookshops and, during the festival, from the merchandise stands. Full-colour advertisements are possible. It is also distributed among the festival’s accredited guests.
Circulation: 4,500 copies.
Rotterdam Industry Manual
The Rotterdam Industry Manual (English language) contains contact information and up-to-date information on the distribution, releases and sales by the most important companies active on the international film scene.
Circulation: 3,000 copies.
