First time press accreditations   

If you seek press accreditation to the International Film Festival Rotterdam for the first time, please contact, before December 8, 2011, the IFFR Press Office by email at press@filmfestivalrotterdam.com . Before that, please read on carefully!


Requests for press accreditation submitted or received after 31 December 2011 will not be proceeded. Please note that regular mail may take several weeks to reach the festival office; send your mail by the end of November.

Depending on your affiliation, please submit in your email the following information:

1. Printed Media
  • Name, private address, private phone, personal email account.
  • Information about the affiliation for which you request accreditation (name, name of chief editor, address, phone, email account, periodicity, circulation, address of affiliation’s online publication)
  • Other affiliations for which you publish (please note that IFFR does not give multiple accreditations) and want to cover IFFR.
  • A letter from your editor/producer on company letterhead that assigns you to cover IFFR and specifies the type of coverage you are planning.
  • Recent coverage of a film festival or film related articles signed with your name. A recent copy of your affiliation.
2. Radio and Television
  • Name, private address, private phone, personal email account
  • Information about the affiliation, network or company for which you request accreditation (name, name of chief editor, address, phone, email account, audience number, broadcasting area and the program (periodicity, scheduling, name of the program, address of affiliation’s online publication) that the station or network intends to devote to IFFR.
  • Other affiliations for which you publish/air (please note that IFFR does not give multiple accreditations) and want to cover IFFR.
  • A letter from your network editor/producer on company letterhead that assigns you to cover IFFR and specifies the type of coverage you are planning.
  • Specify the name(s) and function(s) (camera, sound, editor) of crew members.

3. Online Press

  • Name, private address, private phone, personal email account
  • Information about the website for which you request accreditation (name, website address, name of chief editor, address, phone, email account, number of hits/month).
  • Other affiliations for which you publish (please note that IFFR does not give multiple accreditations) and want to cover IFFR.
  • A letter from your website editor on company letterhead that assigns you to cover IFFR and specifies the type of coverage you are planning.

 4. Press Photographer

  • Name, private address, private phone, personal email account
  • Information about the periodical or agency for which you request accreditation (name, name of chief editor, address, phone, email account, periodicity, circulation).
  • Other affiliations for which you publish (please note that IFFR does not give multiple accreditations) and want to cover IFFR.
  • A letter from your editor on company letterhead that assigns you to cover IFFR and specifies the type of coverage you are planning.
  • Three recent press clippings of photos copyrighted by the photographer or the agency.
  • A recent copy of your periodical.

5. Press Agency

  • Name, private address, private phone, personal email account
  • Information about the agency for which you request accreditation (name, name of chief editor, address, phone, email account).
  • Other affiliations for which you publish (please note that IFFR does not give multiple accreditations) and want to cover IFFR.
  • A letter from your editor or director on company letterhead that assigns you to cover IFFR and specifies the type of coverage you are planning.
  • Three recent film festival- or film related press clippings with your or the agency’s signature.

Submission of the information concerning your affiliation does not guarantee accreditation.

After receiving the above mentioned information and if the IFFR Press Office decides to allow you to be accreditated to the festival, you will receive by email an invitation to attend the International Film Festival Rotterdam as accreditated press. The email contains a login name and pass word to web-based accreditation pages. You are kindly asked to submit as soon as possible all requested information.  

The Press Office asks you to send, as soon as possible after publication, printed or audiovisual proof(s) of your IFFR 2012 coverage. Renewed accreditation is based, in part, on the receipt of proof(s) of your coverage.

Please keep us updated, via press@filmfestivalrotterdam.com on changes in your affiliation and/or address, so you will receive your press accreditation form in time and at the appropriate adress.
