Can you tell us more about the starting point and original ideas for this film?
I actually wanted to make a film about art (art about art), but then I fell in love with my assistant Suzanne, and the film became something else entirely. She became the subject instead of just the artwork.
Do you have any anecdotes about the making of this film?
Suzanne came over to Keulen one day by chance, which I found very annoying as I wanted to work the whole day without being disturbed. The film originated from this chance happening. I still ask myself: "what is more important? Art or love?".
How important is it for you and you work that this film is in the Short Film competition of the Film Festival?
Very important and very nice.
What do you do when you're not making films?
I also draw and paint and I often make installations for films. I do yoga, go jogging and I live in Keulen and Rotterdam.
Is there anything you want to tell your audience before they see your film?
No.
Are you busy with new projects?
At the moment I'm working with everything that has something to do with the future. That sounds heavy, but what else can you do as an artist?
