What was the starting point or the initial idea for this film?
The starting point of this film is my own work, which I have been working on for the past 15 years. This film can be seen as the ‘white noise’ of my experiences with sound, video and space. One day I observed one of my friends eating cream cake with compulsive movements. This emotional disorder was the triggering factor for the destruction of the space, as seen in the film.
What do you do when not making films?
I work on my projects of installation and video. It will be showing at my exhibition at Galerie Claudine Papillon in Paris, end 2010.
What would you like to say to your audience before seeing your film?
That art is not communication. Each work of art invents its own rules.
What project(s) are you working on this year?
I have a project of a film with only dogs which live in an apartment.
