The Tiger Awards Competition for Short Films includes twenty-seven films shorter than 60 minutes; the three Tiger Short Films winners will be awarded EUR 3,000 each.
The Jury of the Tiger Awards Competition for Short Films consists of Malaysian writer and director TAN Chui Mui (her seven recent short films screen in the festival), Maria Pallier, buyer and programme maker for the Spanish broadcasting company TVE, and the British journalist, curator and artist George Clark.
Awarded films
The festival's first Tigers were handed out to a trio of short films:
A Necessary Music by Beatrice Gibson from the UK;
Despair by Galina Myznikova & Sergey Provorov from Russia; and
Bernadette by Duncan Campbell from the UK. Each of the three Tiger Awards for Short Film comes with a prize of €3,000.
